Mumbai, Maharashtra: During a recent visit to the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, United States Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti paid tribute to the victims of the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai.

In a tweet about his visit, the ambassador mentioned that it was to pay tribute to those whose lives were lost in the attacks.

In addition to seeing the Gateway of India during his stay in Mumbai, Eric Garcetti also met with the Governor of Maharashtra, Ramesh Bais and had productive discussions with him. He witnessed a stunning sunrise at the Gateway of India and cited it as one of his most memorable moments.

During the meeting with Mithali Raj, the former captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, during his tour, Garcetti also spoke with her and shared his enthusiasm for cricket. He particularly appreciated the beauty of Mumbai’s Keneseth Eliyahoo Synagogue.

“My tour at the institution was lovely,” he continued in his tweet, “and I also get to learn from Solomon Sopher regarding the legacy of the Jewish community and their contributions.” Additionally, he mentioned that he had dropped by the renowned Kyani and Co., a well-known café in Mumbai, to sample some mouthwatering bun maska and chai.

In relation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s coming to the US, Eric Garcetti has expressed his excitement and joy. He emphasised the strengthening ties between the US and India.

Eric Garcetti also spoke to the Indian reporters. He expressed his immense joy at the prospect of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US strengthening their mutual connections. This was PM Modi’s third trip to the US in the previous 75 years.

He emphasised that on June 22, 2023, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his official state visit to the US. When PM Modi meets with the US delegation, US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will be the hosts. According to additional sources, PM Modi will be welcomed to the White House dinner.
