Dominica: Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit has cautioned the people of the island about remaining safe during the Tropical Storm Beryl. This is the second tropical storm of the Atlantic Hurricane Season which started on June 1.

The Tropical Storm Beryl is moving extremely quickly towards the island chain,  the meteorological offices across the caribbean are monitoring the progress. The officials revealed that the tropical storm is expected to move across the Windward Islands on Monday.

The members of the Meteorological office of Dominica have shared that the country is not directly in the path of the tropical storm. However, the officials still suggest the people to remain cautious and take all the precautions.

The Prime Minister of the country urged the people to comtinue to follow the progress of the tropical storm. It is important for the people to remain up to date with all the developments.

Further, PM Skerrit called on the people to ensure that they follow the advice of the relavent local authorities. The safety of the people of the country is a priority of the addministration of Dominica which is why all the leaders are working hard to sensitize the people on precautionary measures

The Meteorological office has suggested that the tropical storm Beryl can potentially strengthen and form a hurricane as it continues to move. The people of the Windward Islands have been cautioned to make sure that they are taking all the necessary precautions.

The Prime Minister said that the people should check in their respective homes and carry out the necessary preparedness activities. They should  to protect their property and help other members of the community prevent damage to their property.

PM Roosevelt Skerrit assured the people of the country that the national system is ready to provide support in case of emergency. However, he asserted that the citizens should do everything that they can to reduce impact on lives and property.

Fisher-folk should also p.ay attention to the  the warning message and secure their vessels and equipment.The Prime Minister extended his best wishes and prayers for the safety of the people.
