Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, met with Linda Taglialatela, US Ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Both delegations discussed several procedures to improve their partnership and deal with various common issues.
During the meeting, PM Drew emphasized their long-term commitment and stressed the need to take a number of steps for the sustainable development of the country. Along with Ambassador Taglialatela, he examined different strategies to solving a number of persistent problems in the country.
Ambassador Linda Taglialatela visited St Kitts and Nevis after a visit to the Commonwealth of Dominica. Her meeting with the twin-island federation’s Prime Minister was mainly focused on boosting bilateral relations between both countries.
Their conversation covered a wide range of subjects, including security, sustainable development, and energy-related concepts. Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew remarked that it was an honour to attend a meeting with Ambassador Linda and welcomed her into his office.
He expressed his sincere gratitude and joy at meeting her. Additionally, he posted a few images from the meeting on his official social media account.
He wrote, “Today I held fruitful bilateral talks with US Ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, H.E. Linda Taglialatela,” in his official Twitter caption. Our conversations focused on deepening ties and enhancing collaboration on security and renewable energy issues.
In addition, Ambassador Linda was pleased to meet PM Drew. She appreciated him for the warm welcome she received on St Kitts and Nevis Island and expressed excitement about continuing their productive partnership in the future.
According to reports, on August 10, 2023, Ambassador Linda Taglialatela paid a visit to the Commonwealth of Dominica to speak with Dominican Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit. Both emphasized a number of climate and sustainable development challenges during the meeting.
