Minister Drew rushed to Alexandria Hospital to visit the victims of the unfortunate incident. The band members sustained multiple limb fractures, but fortunately, no one suffered fatal injuries, and everyone was safe.

Videos of the incident have gone viral on various social media platforms. Several Government authorities of St Kitts and Nevis sent condolences and hoped for speedy recoveries of the band members injured in yesterday’s Sugar Band Truck crash during the J’ouvert parade on Emancipation Day.

As per sources and eyewitnesses, five members of the Sugar Band were injured, including lead singer and suffered fractures, especially in their arms and legs. The victims are currently hospitalized and receiving treatment. According to the St Kitts Police Department, no one has been seriously harmed or is in critical condition.

Some victims also have a broken jaw and lose teeth. PM Drew wished them a speedy recovery and encouraged them to continue their work with the same enthusiasm.

The individual driving the tractor expressed his sorrow about the outcome of the incident. He informed that when they arrived at the hill, he was already suspicious about the conclusion. The driver cautiously driving downward but unfortunately, he couldn’t stop the truck from getting crashed and overturned.

Along with Prime Minister Terrance Drew, the citizens of the country wish the victims a fast recovery. They offered their best wishes and hoped for the best.
