Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Denzil Douglas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, recently used his social media accounts to post images of the labour day parade that will take place on May 1, 2023.
The senior leader of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party took the Labour Day celebration as a chance to honour and commend Sylvia Mills of St. Paul’s/Sandy Point.
She is the spouse of Charles E. Mills, a former labour party candidate and member of parliament for Constituency 6. At the Labour Day celebration, Douglas was incredibly proud to honour the spouse of his predecessor and former leader.
Notably, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party organised a number of essential activities to recognise and honour Labour Day.
The activities were intended to recognise the lengthy history of the St Kitts and Nevis labour movement and its influence on the shared history of the Caribbean. The senior leader Denzil Douglas and other St Kitts and Nevis officials have discussed the political party’s past numerous times.
