Castries, Saint Lucia: On March 31, 2023, starting at 10 AM, Ernest Hilaire, Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, discussed the 2023–2024 Estimates of Revenue and expenditure. The expense discussion began on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

Ernest Hilaire asked the public to stay tuned in to the government of Saint Lucia through NTN and Rhythm FM 95.5 while posting the update on Facebook. Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre concluded the debate on the estimates of revenue and expenditure.

He wrote on his social media account, “Listen in to the Government of Saint Lucia, NTN and Rhythm FM 95.5 on Friday, March 31, 2023, from 10 AM as Minister Ernest Hilaire discusses the 2023-2024 Estimates of revenue and expenditure.

During the first day of the debate, Saint Lucia’s Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre also underlined to the Parliament the value of complying with House customs in order to protect the credibility of Saint Lucia’s most respected parliaments.

Maundy A.L. Lewis, the press secretary to the prime minister of Saint Lucia, invited the public to watch on Facebook as she reflected on the government’s performance over the previous fiscal year.

She presented a budget proposal for 2023–24 as they continue to rebuild the social and economic foundations required for the economy to expand and support wealth creation and prosperity for all.

In addition, the Departments of Finance and Economic Development staff, the Office of the Budget, and the Research Unit were appreciated by the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance for their commitment and hard work in developing the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure. He also thanked all agencies for their participation in the annual Budget process.
