Qualcomm, the company that makes Snapdragon processors and modems that power almost every major Android smartphone, is making its phone. The company is partnering with Asus on a custom device. The device is officially called Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders. A phone that is made to show the chip company’s technology and priced at $1,500. The phone will be sold directly to members of its Snapdragon Insider fan community, which the company launched earlier this year.
The smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders doesn’t seem it does anything different when it comes to taking advantage of its technology than any other Android flagship. The price tag is very disappointing.
