Sofia, Bulgaria: A total of 254 individuals in Bulgaria who tested positive for the novel coronavirus during the last day. The data has been shared in the unified information portal of June 25, 2022. Of these new cases reported, 59.45% belonged to the category of unvaccinated ones.
These new cases have been detected from the additional 2,601 tests conducted by the healthcare facilities during the last 24 hours. The positivity rate of these new cases stands at 9.77%.
This takes the total count of the active COVID-19 cases to 61,183, and of the confirmed cases of the virus, since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,169,728.
During the last 24 hours, a total of 332 Bulgarian COVID patients recovered from the virus and were discharged from the hospital facilities during the previous day, bringing the total recovery rate of the European nation to 1,071,299.
A total of eight (8) COVID patients died due to the virus, taking the total death rate in Bulgaria to 37,246. According to the data shared in the official statistics, for the present time, there are a total of 309 individuals in the hospital facilities, including recently admitted patients. There are a total of 26 patients with COVID in intensive care units.
At least 47 new patients were admitted to the Bulgarian hospital authorities in the last 24 hours, of which 72.34% were not vaccinated against the mutant.
Additional 447 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines were administered in Bulgaria during the previous day. So far, a total of 2,061,364 doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered in Bulgaria since the vaccination drive was launched by the country’s health ministry.
Till June 24, there are a total of 2,060,364 Bulgarians who are now fully vaccinated against the virus by taking their required number of the COVID-19 vaccines, approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The above number of fully vaccinated Bulgarians represents around 29.8% of the total targeted eligible population of the Balkan country.
