Bulgaria’s weather authorities forecasts heavy rainfall for today, issues “Code Orange” for 3 districts

The weather authorities of the European country have issued a "Code Orange" for three districts for today, Monday, February 28, 2022. The code is of dangerous weather and has been issued amid a forecast of heavy snowfalls and strong winds.

Sofia, Bulgaria: The weather authorities of the European country have issued a “Code Orange” for three districts for today, Monday, February 28, 2022. The code is of dangerous weather and has been issued amid a forecast of heavy snowfalls and strong winds.

Three districts of Bulgaria for which the code has been issued are – Dobrich, Varna and Bourgas. All of these districts are situated on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast.

Apart from this, “The lesser Code Yellow warning” has also been issued for some of the Bulgarian regions Monday, February 28, 2022. This code displays the potentially dangerous weather, following the forecast of heavy snowfalls and strong winds, but have fewer chances of being severe, as compared to that of “Code Orange”.

Twelve districts for which the aforementioned warning has been issued are Kurdzhali, Haskovo, Yambol, Sliven, Shoumen, Silistra, Razgrad, Rousse, Turgovishte, Veliko Turnovo, Gabrovo and Lovech.

Bulgaria’s weather remains cloudy for today. The temperature of the European country remains at 2 degrees, consisting of 20 percent of Precipitation 71 percent of humidity. The speed of wind for today is 16 km/h.

As per the forecast, the temperature for Monday, February 28, 2022, in Bulgaria can be lowered to -6 degrees.

From the time frame of February 28 to March 6, 2022, rainfall of at least 28.5 mm is forecasted by the authorities, and the estimated speed of cool winds will remain 13km/h in Bulgaria.

The weather forecasting authorities noted that the temperature of Bulgaria could go down to a minimum minus 2 degrees between February 28 to March 6, 2022.
