WHO verifies additional 20 attacks on healthcare staff in Ukraine by Russian forces

"We have verified 20 additional attacks on health care in Ukraine. As of 26 May, 256 attacks on health care have been verified. At least 75 people have been killed & 59 injured. Attacks on health violate international law & endanger lives. Health should never be a target".

Earlier, Dr Tedros was elected as WHO's Director-General in 2017. His next tenure will commence in the month of August.

WHO verifies 248 attacks on health care in Ukraine amid war

Several countries are standing in solidarity with Ukraine nationals. Humanitarian assistance has also been provided by many of international organisations, and countries came forward to help the war-hit country amid the Russian military invasion.
