The war between Russia and Ukraine has entered into 85th day, following which millions of Ukraine nationals left the country.

The Minister then appreciated the efforts of counties who are standing firm with the war-hit country in such difficult times of need by providing shelter to the Ukrainian refugees.

The place of Ukraine lies in the EU, said the Bulgarian Prime Minister, adding that "this is their security". 

The Deputy Prime Minister as well as Minister of Economy and Industry - Kornelia Ninova, in conversation with a media house, stated time revealed that the restrictions put against Russia by Bulgaria and the other European nations are 'harmful', adding that BSP opposes the implementation of sanctions. 

President of Ukraine - Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held a telephonic conversation with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria - Kiril Petkov. Both the dignitaries discussed the current situation of the war-torn country, as well as the actions of the Russian military. 

Renowned native actress of Bulgaria - Maria Bakalova expressed her thoughts and concern over the ongoing war situation between Russia and Ukraine. She said her thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine, who are the victims of the war.

The European country has offered to host negotiation talks between the Russian and Ukraine Federation. This initiative of the Bulgarian government comes as the conflict between both countries heightens.  

Ambassador of Russia to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova, in a recent video message, giving statement notified that "Russia is not having any intention of occupying Ukraine".
