Tseko Minev, chairman of the Bulgarian Ski Federation, was re-elected unanimously as President of the Bulgarian Ski Federation for a new 5-year term.
This happened during the regular report-election meeting of the BFSki, which was held today at MMS. For Minev, who has led the federation since 2003, this will be a fifth consecutive term, with him also a member of the IASF Council.
Thirteen clubs from all sports attended the BFSki forum. Discussed were both the results of the leading BFski competitors over the past 5-year cycle and critical issues for clubs related to improving winter sports infrastructure, local club funding, and state and local government support to develop white sports.
The need for clubs and federation’s active position before the public and relevant state authorities to improve the conditions for sport and the associated number of functioning clubs and competitors was reported.
Specific joint measures were noted for initiatives related to the parallel career development of athletes in view of their early retirement from active sports. The annual accounting report of the federation for 2022 and the expert accountant’s report were also voted unanimously.
Members of the General Assembly voted to dismiss the President and EU members for activities during the reporting period. After the election with a full majority of a new president, a new board of directors was also elected, consisting of Boyana Popova, Pepa Miceva, Ilia El Feleki, Krasimir Hadjidinev, Georgi Bobev, Radoslav Yankov, Ivo Tsekov and Andrei Balevski. The federation budget for the 2023 calendar was also adopted.
