Yesterday on June 9, 2023, an exhibition was opened at the National Palace of Culture Art Gallery, where 361 talented young people from 14 art schools from all over the country, from grades 8III to XI, participated in their works.
The students competed in the National Youth Competition in Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Design organized by the Ministry of Culture. The nominated and awarded works were presented, and the certificates were presented to the awarded participants in different categories.
The exhibition is extremely curious and diverse and includes graphics, landscapes, glass, stone and metal sculptures, booth designs, textile works, children’s toys, costumes, posters, author’s fonts and much more.
Students from art schools up to the age of 18, ranked first, second and third, will receive one-year scholarships in the amount of BGN 135 per month under the Gifted Child Protection Measures Program. They also have the opportunity to apply for one-time financial assistance to participate in a masterclass or plenary session.
The exhibition will run until June 16, 2023. with working hours 11-18 h. , entrance to the Art Gallery – National Palace of Culture /next to the Literary Club “Peroto”.
Additionally, the Ministry made another announcement the festival for the new Bulgarian cinema “Cinovacation” will be held for the second consecutive year in Burgas from June 17 to 21. The organizers are the Executive Agency “National Film Center” and the Municipality of Burgas, with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
Lovers of the seventh art in seaside town will have the opportunity to see contemporary Bulgarian titles from the field of feature, documentary and animation, as well as meet some of the teams of some featured films.
The selection includes films, including Valery Yordanov’s “Shakespeare as a Street Dog”, “The Tesla Case” by Andrei Hadjivasilev, “The Art of Falling” by Orlin Milchev, “Vasil” starring Ivan Bernnev, “Bulgarian Ship Travels in Turbulent Sea” by Petrinel Gochev, “The Lead Soldier” by Kostadin Bonev and Casiel’s “Soldier of Fate” Noah Usher.
