Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, recently informed through his official Facebook account that on May 28, 2023, he organized a special dinner to admire the services of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) throughout the twin-island federation. Several hospital staff members attended the dinner at the CUNA Conference Room. They appreciated Minister Drew for their hospitality.

In his opening remarks at the special dinner, Minister Drew expressed pride and honour towards the EMT staff for their exceptional efforts and hard work to save people’s lives in crucial conditions.

Additionally, Minister Drew announced that to honour the services of emergency medical staff, a week full of various activities has been held under the theme, “Where the Emergency Begins”. He stated that the special supper at the CUNA Conference Room served as a means of showing support for the EMT healthcare providers.

Minister Drew posted numerous pictures of the dinner organized for EMT workers at the CUNA Conference Room. The images demonstrate that the EMT workers had a good time and that PM Drew had given each of them a card of appreciation.

Additionally, the Prime Minister of the Twin Island Federation made a brief statement thanking EMT personnel for their contributions and emphasizing how crucial and challenging their service is. Numerous lives were saved by their 24/7 availability.

As per the images shared by Prime Minister Terrance Drew, it can be seen that several senior authorities, including the Medical Surgeon Joseph N. France (JNF) General Hospital, Dr Joylette Woodley-Fasselle, were also present at the supper in CUNA Conference Room.

The special meal took place on May 28, 2023, put an end to the celebrations organized as part of EMS Week 2023, which occurred from May 21 to May 27.
