Gabrovo, Bulgaria: Gabrovo Kindergarten, named “Perunika”, celebrated its 50th anniversary yesterday. The holiday program included an exhibition, a charity bazaar and a concert with the kids from the nursery. During the time interval from 11 to 19 o’clock, a charity bazaar with the creations of the skilful children from the garden was also organized in front of the hall.

The ending of the celebrations was a festive concert with the theme “The Little Prince”, in which children turned the stage into an extravaganza of colours, dance and music. The event was honoured by the district governor Kristina Sidorova. She gave the garden director Desislava Mincheva booklets with which the kids can explore different fairy tales and imaginary worlds.

Christina Sidorova sent her best wishes to the institution’s team in a congratulatory address: “It is an honour to congratulate you on the 50th anniversary of the Perunica DG. Half a century is a dignified age, and for both people and educational institutions, the accumulated years bring with them experience and wisdom. Keep them together with memories and pass them on to the youngest members of our society who you care for daily”.

She added, “The dozens of children’s smiles we see in the Renaissance Hall tonight are evidence of your tireless work. Your mission is to teach them important life lessons of tolerance, solidarity, empathy, and kindness. And they can only be shown by personal example. An example that you gave them on a festive day with the charity bazaar collected the creations from their skilful hands to return the smile of a child from Gabrovo”.

Regional governor Sidorova expressed deep respect for the efforts implemented by individuals in this initiative. She said, “Please accept my sincerest thanks for your contribution to shaping the shape of the kindergarten and its confirmation as a home of education, joy, and kindness”.

She appreciated all who contributed to making the garden a modernized educational institution providing affordable and quality education for a child’s personality development.
