Plovdiv, Bulgaria: Student Council at Agrarian University – Plovdiv celebrates May 18th – the International “Plant Charm Day” and held the competition “Flower Arrangement” with students from professional high schools for the second time.

On the road, the rector, prof dr. Vladislav Popov opened the events and thanked the Student Council, which popularizes this event initiated by the European Plant Science Organization (EPSO) in our country, congratulating the students and learners for participating in such initiatives and motivating their future development in the best place to get Agricultural education.

President of the Student Council Peter Andonov thanked the teachers, their departments and students who accepted the invitation to participate in the International “Plant Charm Day” and all the students of the vocational high schools for participating in the competition.

This year, eight departments participated in the celebration of the International “Plant Charm Day”, namely the departments of General Chemistry, Agroecology and Environmental Protection, Vineyard and Orchard, General Agriculture and Herbology, Horticulture, Botany and Agrometeorology, Animal Sciences, Agrochemistry and Soil Science.

Students, pupils, guests and faculty were fascinated by the plants and products presented by each participating department exhibited in front of their booth.

Students from the Arch PGASG participated this year in the Flower Arrangement Competition. Kamen Petkov” – gr. Plovdiv, PGMZS – gr. September, PGVAD “Hristo Botev” – gr. Plovdiv, PGDS “Tzar Ivan Assen II”, city Haskovo and PGSSI “Hristo Botev” – city Svilengrad.

All did excellently and were awarded cash prizes, Student Council promotional materials, a certificate of participation and a certificate in the name of the Dean of FLG – Associate Professor. Dr Sava Tabakov for admission to Agrarian University – Plovdiv.
