The first event in Dryanovo within the district campaign “Return” was held last night in the crowded hall of the Economy House. District Governor Kristina Sidorova turned to the guests during the event and wished everyone a bright holiday.

She said, “You will hear five stories that touch the heart. Stories about the path of coming home, returning to roots, returning to that place that gives strength, dreams and the opportunity to fulfil your dreams. Enjoy this evening, experience the emotion of our speakers and tell your friends abroad that life can be wonderful here”.

Numerous people attended the event. Appreciating the residents for coming to the town city hall, the Mayor of Dryanovo, Trifon Panchev, said, “I am glad that there is no room in that hall today. The topic that brings us together here should be the mission of every mayor, a task for every municipal or district administration. I see a lot of young families among the guests”.

He urged the citizens of Dryanovo to, whenever they have an idea or a problem, feel welcome to the municipality to share them and put their efforts into making Dryanovo a better place to live. He further remarked that he signed the project to restore the building yesterday and applied for funding.

During the event, the talented kids from the Detelinki Dance Ensemble with leader Petya Todorova at the Dryanovska Probuda-2008 Community pleased everyone present with the dance.

With many shared emotions, the speakers conveyed in their stories the love for the homeland, the longing for life in comfort and tranquillity, and the cohesion of the community in small settlements.

They all received stormy applause and gifts from the hosts of the Historical Museum-Dryanovo, which were presented to them by the museum director Ivan Hristov.

The musical accompaniment was on an accordion performed by Teodor Nikolaev. The children of the Literary Studio “BookLove” at the Dryanovska Probuda 2008 Public Library presented a recital with personal creativity. Their leader Virginia Dacheva presented the first collection of young writers.
