Ernest Hilaire, the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, posted a message of encouragement to his fellow citizens on his official social media account after this week had come to an end.
Deputy PM Hilaire posted a motivational message on Facebook in which he expressed his thoughts and opinions on life’s difficulties and the significance of adopting a fighter’s mentality to continue achieving success.
He wrote on his social media account, “Sometimes feel anxious when we consider the path ahead, but we must use where we’ve been as motivation to keep moving forward”. #ernestcares.
Additionally, through his inspirational caption, Ernest Hilaire, the deputy prime minister of Saint Lucia, called on the people of Saint Lucia to understand the value of positive thinking as well as having a mindset to critically analyse how far you have come rather than thinking too far ahead, which is not even within anyone’s control.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture, and Information of Saint Lucia, Hilaire, also provided an encouraging and significant quotation with the message, “Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come.”
He said, “It is of fundamental essentialism that one must reflect on the feats that he had accomplished in a previous life and be content with how far you have come instead of worrying about future issues while continually doubting his talents and skills.”
He continued by saying that rather than worrying about current issues and always criticising one’s abilities and skills, one can reflect on the accomplishments of past lives and be happy with how far they have come.
Minister Ernest Hilaire noted that most people fall into a continuous dangerous cycle of self-doubt and thoughts of the future, which is typically uncontrollable for all, while elaborating on the significance of believing in one’s abilities and skills to achieve unimaginable triumphs and endeavours.
He stated that this could be a vicious cycle for a person because it can be very difficult to escape, sometimes even for the rest of one’s life. In order to live a fulfilled and happy life, he advised the people of Saint Lucia to keep a positive outlook and self-belief.
In the end, he urged the people of Saint Lucia to go forward despite obstacles and challenges encountered because they are an unavoidable part of the path to success.
