Castries, Saint Lucia: Philip J Pierre, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, has pledged to work for the improvement of children in Saint Lucia and to secure their future in order to ensure a better life for them. He stated that it is their responsibility as parents to ensure that their children have a bright future.
PM Philip J Pierre publicised his commitment through his Facebook page and pledged his support for the children of Saint Lucia. He stated that children’s guidance is essential because it will show them the true path of life.
Minister J Pierre emphasised that everyone’s primary goal as parents is to ensure their children have a safe, secure, and promising future. He outlined that parents must remember the importance of spiritual guidance as well as other aspects of life.
Minister Philip J Pierre quoted the Bible verse Deuteronomy 6:6-7, saying, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Make an impression on your children. Talk about them when you’re sitting at home, walking down the street, lying down, and getting up.”
He mentioned that this verse reminds every individual that he should teach their children about the Lord’s commandments daily and lead them in the right direction.
Minister J Pierre urged the people of Saint Lucia to work hard and together to ensure that every country’s children can achieve success no matter what their background is. He also wished everyone “a blessed Sunday” yesterday and suggested going to church with their children.
