Stefan Tafrov, the Former Bulgarian representative to United Nations, reported that Russia is set to present a documentary proving that the Ohrid Archbishopric has never been Bulgarian and Macedonia is the homeland of Slavic literature.

The premiere of the scandalous film is planned to be at the Russian Embassy in Skopje on the eve of Macedonian Christmas.

He emphasized that the film is mainly focused on downgrading Bulgaria’s importance with Macedonian passions and interests.

Since Bulgaria has refused to acknowledge the existence of a separate ethnic Macedonian country and a different Macedonian language, there is already an unresolved conflict between Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

It claims that the Macedonian language is a dialect of Bulgarian and that the ethnic Macedonians are a subgroup of the Bulgarian people. It is anticipated that this movie may increase hatred between the two nations.

Tafrov added that the film named “One Faith, One Language” demonstrates that Macedonia is the birthplace of the Slavic alphabet, and the brothers Cyril and Methodius have nothing in common with Bulgaria, which in their time was not an educational and cultural centre of the Balkans.

Tafrov added that Bulgaria is completely excluded from the scientific Slavic linguistic processes related to the case of Cyril and Methodius. He explained that the film pushes Russian chauvinism as an emphasis.

The most important mission and work of the Thessaloniki brothers are the levels of literacy and speech visited in Kherson and Crimea. This happened on the soil of Russia, and Prince Vladimir performed the Christianization.

Furthermore, in the film, citing the official Russian science, Chernorizets brave is a Slavic educator who has nothing to do with Bulgaria. According to Tafrov, The Kremlin was joking with the Bulgarians.

He claims that Macedonians also note that the blow from Moscow comes after the BPC days ago, under pressure from the Moscow Patriarchate, recognized Tomos for the autocephaly that Belgrade gave to the Macedonian Church.

It is also recalled that a few years ago, the Orthodox Church refused to become the Mother Church of the Macedonian.
