The report was made on Sunday, at 9:00 PM. The murderer was a man who called 112 himself and reported the murder. Senior Commissioner Petko Shotlekov: director of the Pazardzhik Police, confirmed the information. The victim was a 72-year-old woman named Ekaterina Kaferinova.

Mincho Stolarski reported the murder, who is the brother of a local hotel owner. Later, he was considered the perpetrator of the murder.

Commissioner Shotlekov said, ” there is no guarantee that the sender told his true identity when he informed the incident. The police are investigating, and initial data still needs to be confirmed”.

Victim Ekaterina Kaferinova has been a municipal councillor from the Bulgarian Agricultural People’s Union for twenty years. Currently, the motives behind the murder are still unclear.

Pazardzhik police recently announced that a 73-year-old man who reported the murder got arrested for the murder of Ekaterina Kaferinova, the municipal councillor from Velingrad. He confessed that he killed the victim with their own hands at her home. He also pointed to the house where the crime was committed. According to the people living in the neighbourhood, the victim and the murderer have known each other for many years. Both lived on a family basis.

Ekaterina Kaferinova died from suffocation. Although she is well-liked in Velingrad, there have been several intrusions on her space throughout the years. She was assaulted a while back by two masked males, who also thrashed her before threatening her with an explosive device. Kaferinova, 72, has served on the city’s municipal council several times. She ran her own company.
