Bulgaria’s Covid-19 14-day morbidity rate persists to deteriorate during the last week, increasing from 74.42 per 100,000 population on July 4 to a present 117.08 as per July 11 report given by the unified information portal.

Two weeks before, the Covid-19 morbidity rate in Bulgaria was 46.12 per 100,000 population on the basis of 14 days.

Several districts in Bulgaria have been classified as Covid-19 yellow zones, which means that a morbidity rate between 100 and 249.9 per 100,000 people on a 14-basis has increased in the last week from three to eight: Bourgas, Dobrich, Varna, Vratsa, Sofia city, Pernik, Sofia district and Yambol.

Sofia city records the highest morbidity rate with 214.01.

The rest 20 districts in Bulgaria are green zones, meaning a morbidity rate is less than 100 per 100 000 population.

As per the report of July 11, the deaths of 15 people in Bulgaria who had tested positive for coronavirus were reported in the last week, bringing the death toll of the nation related to the disease to 37,272.

Till date, a total of 1 178 189 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Bulgaria, including the 4915 cases reported during the last week.

The report stated that there are over 10,864 active cases.

There are 453 patients battling coronavirus in hospitals in Bulgaria, which is 84 more than a week ago, with 36 in ICU, ten more than the figure in the report of July 4.

A total of 4,423,001 vaccines for COVID-19 have been administered in Bulgaria, including 10,369 during the last week, as per the figures of the report of July 11.

Around 2,075,830 individuals have completed their vaccination cycle in Bulgaria.

A total of 777,823 have got a booster dose, including 9393 in the last week, while 8454 have got a second booster, including 5751 in the previous week.
