Sofia, Bulgaria: A total of eighty-two (82) Bulgarians have tested positive for the contagious COVID-19 mutant during the last 24 hours. The data has been shared in the unified information portal of June 12, 2022.
These fresh cases have been detected by the healthcare authorities of Bulgaria during the last 24 hours. The positivity rate of these new 82 cases computes for around 5.3%, the unified portal further adds.
Meanwhile, no additional death has been recorded in the European country during the last day; therefore, the overall count of the country death rate remains at 37,196.
The data then adds that there are a total of fourteen (14) patients with the COVID-19 mutant who got recovered from the virus and have been discharged from the hospital facilities.
For the present time, there are a total of six (6) new patients who have been admitted to the Bulgarian hospital facilities, taking the overall number of patients in the hospital facilities to 289. There are a total of twenty-six (26) patients in intensive care units – ICU.
An additional fifty-four (54) doses of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the Balkan state in the last 24 hours. The total doses administered in Bulgaria account for around 4,402,754.
COVID Vaccination rate of the European country –
Till June 11, in Bulgaria, there are a total of 2,060,446 individuals who had taken their required recommended number of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines and are now in the category of fully vaccinated individuals, the official data notes. This number of individuals accounts for around 29.7% of the total targeted eligible population of the Balkan state.
The country is having one of the lowest “COVID vaccination rate” in the entire European region.
Nearly 67% of the global population is partially vaccinated against the deadliest COVID, and 61.2% of the global population is fully vaccinated to date.
