Sofia, Bulgaria: During the last 24 hours, a total of additional 156 new cases of the novel coronavirus have been recorded in the European country of Bulgaria, as per the data shared in the unified information portal.
These additional COVID-19 infections have been detected from a total of 2724 COVID-19 tests conducted by the healthcare facilities during the last day, the data further adds. The positivity rate of the new novel coronavirus infections stands at 5.72%.
For the present time, there are a total of eleven patients who have been admitted to the hospital facilities of the European country. In the last day, there are a total of additional 124 doses of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines administered in the Balkan state.
During the period of the last seven days, there are a total of fifty-four (54) patients with the viral illness who lost their lives to the deadliest COVID-19 mutant.
As of May 6, 2022, there are a total of 2,056,657 individuals in the European country who have taken their required number of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines and are now fully vaccinated against the contagious virus. This number of individuals is representing around 29.7% of the total targeted eligible population of the country.
