World: On the occasion of the World Health Day, the WHO – World Health Organization informed that because of environmental factors, around 13 million people die every year.
WHO tweeted, “Today is #WorldHealthDay! Environmental factors – including climate change – claim 13 million lives every year. Stop burning fossil fuels like oil, coal and natural gas for a #HealthierTomorrow.”
The official website of the – World Health Organisation asserted, “In the middle of the contagious COVID-19 pandemic, a polluted planet, increasing diseases such as – cancer, asthma, heart disease, on – World Health Day 2022, WHO will focus global attention on the urgent actions needed to keep humans & the planet healthy & foster a movement to create societies focused on well-being.”
The international authority has called the climate crisis a “health crisis”.
“Climate change is also a threat to human health, driving diseases like cancer, asthma, heart disease, and mosquito-borne diseases like dengue,” WHO tweets.

Every year, World Health Day is observed on April 7, 2022 – global health awareness day, and to gather the attention of the global population towards taking care of their health. The theme of this years’ health day is “Our Planet, Our Health,” with the motive to direct global awareness toward the well-being of the planet and the humans living on it.
“Pollution & plastics are found at the bottom of our deepest oceans, the highest mountains, & have made their way into our food chain. Systems that produce highly processed, unhealthy foods & beverages are driving a wave of obesity, increasing cancer & heart disease while generating a third of global greenhouse gas emissions.”
