Covid cases are increasing rapidly in Bulgaria, with 532 new cases recorded on June 29. Three hundred forty-one people were admitted to the hospital, out of which two are dead, and 30 are in critical condition.
Covid cases are getting a continuous hike in Bulgaria. In the last 24 hours, 532 new cases have been recorded. Four thousand two hundred forty-four tests were performed. More than 1100 cases have been recorded in the previous two days, which takes the overall number to 1,171,767. Three hundred forty-one were admitted to the hospitals, out of which 30 were in a critical situation and were admitted to the Intensive care unit. On June 28, 549 cases were recorded, and the deaths recorded were the same as today.
Till now, Covid has claimed 37,251 lives in Bulgaria since the outbreak of the pandemic. Out of the entire population, 2,061,068 has obtained their vaccination, which counts for 29.8% of the whole population. Bulgaria is still on the list of the lowest vaccinated country in Europe.
A new variant has also been found in Bulgaria. Bulgaria’s National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases(NCIPD) on June 29 recorded the BA.5 lineage of the omicron variant for the first time. Eighty-eight samples were taken from may 5 to June 3 in 16 districts, and the first instances of omicron variant have been found. Some subvariants also has been recorded.
Covid has affected many lives across the world since its outbreak . Europe has been affected badly by the different waves of different variants. Although, some countries has took various majors to prevent the virus some countries performed poorly in vaccination process.
As a result, cases have been rising again. It has raised concerns for the people and the states.
