Bulgaria: 98 COVID patients dies in 24 hours

Sofia, Bulgaria: In total ninety-eight COVID-19 patients scummed to the virus in Bulgaria on February 9, 2022. The data was shared in the report released by the unified information portal. With this, the European country surpasses the mark of 34,000 in COVID-19 related deaths, accounting at 34,044.

On the other hand, the healthcare facilities have recorded additional 8140 cases of the contagious COVID-19 virus, raising the total active cases to mark to 261 942 as of February 9, 2022. These new COVID infections have taken the margin of the confirmed coronavirus cases to 1 011,588.

This is a rise of 365 new COVID-19 infections as compared to that of February 8, 2022.

The COVID-19 update report noted that in the past 24 hours, a total of 32, 974 COVID-19 tests were conducted by the hospital facilities and clinics, of which the positivity rate turned out to be 24.68 per cent.

Meanwhile, there are a total of 7677 individuals who got recovered from the deadliest virus and have been discharged from hospitals. As of now, the total recovery rate of Bulgaria stands at 715, 602.

There are a total of 6274 patients with Covid-19 in hospital in Bulgaria, ut of which 892 were newly admitted, whereas in total 625 patients are in the intensive care unit, which is two more than the data of the February 8, 2022 report.

In terms of the vaccination, as of February 9, 2022, there are a total of 2,017,293 individuals in Bulgaria who are fully vaccinated by taking their required number of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. The number counts for around 29.1% of the total Bulgarian population.

Around 9.2%, which marks a tally of 640,275, are the individuals who are fully immunised and have also taken their booster shots against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
