Sofia is preparing for one of the most anticipated music events in recent years. Heavy metal icons Iron Maiden will bring their massive “Run For Your Lives” world tour to Vasil Levski National Stadium on May 26, 2026, marking the band’s 50th anniversary.

Organizers Fest Team confirmed that the concert will feature the most iconic tracks from across Iron Maiden’s career. The production is already being hailed as the most ambitious in the group’s history, drawing more than one million fans worldwide on its first leg alone.

Founder and bassist Steve Harris said the group was thrilled by the reception so far. “The setlist feels perfect, the fans’ energy is incredible, and we’re excited to return to places like Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, and Greece,” he noted.

Harris also praised festivals as a key part of the band’s growth, saying they allow Maiden to reach audiences beyond their loyal fan base.

Manager Rod Smallwood described the global response as “overwhelmingly positive,” with both fans and media calling the anniversary show one of the best in Iron Maiden’s career. He highlighted the success of the band’s request for fans to minimize phone use during performances, creating an atmosphere that allows the music and spectacle to shine.

The tour schedule includes other major European stops such as Hanover, Lyon, and Milan, where Iron Maiden will become the first metal band to play at San Siro Stadium. In Paris, their concert at La Défense Arena will be filmed for a special release.

For Sofia fans, the celebrations will extend beyond the stage. At the stadium, an “Eddie’s Official Pop-Up Dive Bar” will offer Trooper Beer, Darkest Red Wine, exclusive merchandise, and serve as a meeting spot before and after the concert.

Tickets go on sale starting Tuesday, September 23, at 11:00 a.m. for Iron Maiden Fan Club members. Fest Club pre-sales follow on September 24, with general sales through Ticket Station opening Saturday, September 27. Prices range from 99 to 280 leva.

Smallwood confirmed that 2026 will be an especially demanding year, with no live shows planned for 2027 once the anniversary tour ends. For Bulgarian fans, May’s concert promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of Iron Maiden’s legendary career.
