The 72nd International Cycling Tour of Bulgaria will take place from August 30 to September 1, 2025. Temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced across the Burgas district to ensure the safe passage of cyclists and smooth organization of the race.

The competition will open on August 30 in Primorsko with a short 3.5-kilometre time trial. The route begins in front of the Primorsko Municipality building, continuing through Cherno More Street, Ropotamo Street, St. St. Kiril and Methodius Street, Kraybrezhna Alley, and Kraymorska Street. Local traffic will be restricted briefly during this stage.

Stage I follows on August 31, with an official start at 2:30 p.m. in Primorsko. Cyclists will head toward Burgas via Treti Mart Street, affecting traffic along road II-99. Restrictions will be applied in sections between Primorsko, Ropotamo Reserve, Arkutino, Sozopol intersection, Chernomorets intersection, Atia, and Kraimorie.

Around 3:30 p.m., participants are expected to enter Burgas at the roundabout of Zahari Stoyanov and Todor Aleksandrov boulevards. From there, they will continue through Gorno Ezerovo on road III-7909, moving toward Bratovo, Ravnets, and Troyanovo. Temporary restrictions will be enforced along these stretches.

From Troyanovo, the race proceeds on road III-539 toward Vratitsa, Karanovo, and Aytos industrial zone. At approximately 4:30 p.m., cyclists are expected to travel on road I-6 from Aytos to Burgas, with traffic limitations introduced gradually along the route.

Within Burgas, restrictions will apply from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on key roads. These include Bulgarka Street in Vetren district, sections of road I-6, Stefan Stambolov Boulevard, San Stefano Boulevard, Hristo Botev Boulevard, and Tsaritsa Yoanna Square. The stage will end around 5:30 p.m. in front of Burgas Municipality.

Stage II begins on September 1 in Karnobat at 2:15 p.m. Cyclists will start from Ilarion Makariopolski Street, continue along 9th September Boulevard and Moskva Street, and proceed via road I-6. The route covers Venets village before exiting Burgas district into Yambol, ultimately finishing in Kazanlak.

Authorities are urging drivers to be patient and cautious during the event. Motorists are advised to drive at safe speeds, avoid risky overtaking, and strictly follow road signs and police instructions.
