The Burgas Theater is ushering in a new era of convenience for its audience with the introduction of an online ticketing system, allowing patrons to access information about upcoming performances and purchase tickets with just a few clicks.

This move aligns with the theater’s commitment to enhancing communication with its audience and making the arts more accessible to everyone.

The new system, now available on the theater’s official website, marks a significant shift in how tickets are sold in the region.

Patrons can access the platform from their mobile devices or computers to explore the full range of productions on offer, including the newest comedy, “The Shipment.”

The play is the first original work by the creative duo Two Seagulls, made up of Iva Petroni and Boil Banov.

Directed by Banov, the show features an impressive cast, including Hristo Mutafchiev, Evgeni Budinov, and several rising stars of the Burgas Theater, such as Dimitrina Teneva, Zornitsa Konstantinova, Nevena Tsaneva, Ivaylo Gandev, and Stoyan Pamukov.

This digital leap comes as part of the vision set by Ilya Pepelanov, the new director of the Burgas Theater, who took office with the goal of revitalizing the institution.

“I have the ambition to make the Burgas Theater one of the most communicative theaters in Bulgaria, because for us, the most important thing is the viewer,” Pepelanov stated.

“That’s why my first task was to introduce a system that would facilitate the purchase of tickets, and it is already a fact.”

Pepelanov’s strategic initiative extends beyond just improving ticket sales. He aims to restore the prestigious International Theater Festival “On the Shore,” an event with a rich history that attracts theater lovers from across the country and abroad.

Tickets for performances within the festival will also be available through the new online platform, making it easier for both local residents and visitors to Burgas to attend these celebrated cultural events.

In addition to the online system, the theater has ensured that its traditional ticketing methods remain in place.

Fans who prefer the in-person experience can still purchase tickets directly from the Burgas Theater’s box office, located at 3 Svoboda Square, in front of the Municipality.

This dual approach ensures accessibility for all patrons, regardless of their preferred method of purchase.

The move to an online ticketing system reflects broader trends in cultural institutions worldwide, where convenience and ease of access are increasingly prioritized to engage new audiences.

For the Burgas Theater, this innovation is expected to expand its reach and bring more people into the fold, ensuring that theatergoers can easily plan their visits and secure their tickets in advance.

The introduction of this online system marks a new chapter in the theater’s mission to create a more inclusive, accessible cultural experience for both locals and visitors, with the ambition to continue expanding and fostering artistic expression throughout the region.
