For the first time in 30 years, Bulgaria participated as a member and expressed its position during the 45th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Riyadh.

During the session, the Minister of Culture, Krastu Krastev, held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Culture for International Cultural Relations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On September 12, a meeting was held in Riyadh between the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, Krastu Krastev, and Mr. Rakan bin Ibrahim Al-Touk, Deputy Minister of Culture for International Cultural Relations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the conversation, a number of important issues related to cultural cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

The meeting was attended by Zornitsa Grekova – deputy. – Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to UNESCO, Amelia Gesheva, Advisor to the Minister of Culture, Arch. Chavdar Georgiev, road. -Minister of Culture, as well as N. Pr. Lubomir Popov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Minister Krastev thanked on the excellent cooperation between the two ministries and stressed the need to agree on new long-term cooperation projects. Culture is a bridge to bring people and nations together, and congratulated its inclusion in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
