For the 15th time, the festival of home brandy and rock music, “Brandy-Magic”, gathered fans from the region and all over the country under the starry sky of the village of Ganchovets!
The idea for the three-day festival was born during the filming of a documentary in the village. Then, “Brandy Magic” becomes an expected event for the residents of the town. Ganchovets and its surroundings, as well as for all connoisseurs of the most Bulgarian drink, blues and rock music.
Traditionally, the beginning was with a performance of the local self-made “Ganchovskie nahi” and “Oroigralets”, and this year, it was included with an outstanding guitar performance and the little musician Ivan Kolev. The program continued with Twelve Bar, and the legendary Vasco, the Patch with “Poduene Blues Band”, has already appeared on stage for the event.
The party is expected to last until early dawn. Meanwhile, the competition for the “Best Brandy” was on. Over 50 selected homemade brandies compete for the prestigious first place and the traditional prize – a 50-litre barrel. And the winner is already clear – so the desired award goes to Jordan Nedev.
“Paint with Mincho” “Find the Bottle” are just part of the games in the festival’s entertainment program. On September 10, a charity breakfast will be held in support of the Dencho Slavov-1900 National Community Center in Ganchovets.
