Burgas, Bulgaria: The last two days of the movie panorama dedicated to Apostol Karamitev in Burgas. This evening, September 7, the program continues with the movie “Legend of Love,” Tomorrow, Friday, a special guest will be Dimitar Atanasov-Sharata, director of the Dimitrovgrad Theater, who bears the name of the great actor. Immediately after, we will enjoy the tape “This Happened on the Street”.
The initiative is part of the celebrations organized in the actor’s hometown on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth and the 50th anniversary of his death.
Emblematic for Bulgarian cinema remains the roles of Emilia Radeva and Apostol Karamitev in the movie “Legend of Love”, where both are young, beautiful and talented.
The tape tells about the ruler of the city, Mehmene Banu (Zheni Bozinova), who promises a big reward to the one who saved her terminally ill sister, Shirin (Emilia Radeva).
An Unknown appears and promises salvation under two conditions: Mehmene to build a palace of gold and marble and the second – to deprive himself of its earthly beauty.
The conditions have been met. Shireen has been rescued… Next are amazing adventures in the style of A Thousand and One Nights, magic, sensual feats, sublime love and a happy ever after. The artist Ferhad (Apostol Karamitev) has to decorate the new palace, but both sisters fall in love with it.
The black and white tape, according to Pavel Vezhinov’s script “This Happened on the Street”, meets us with the driver Misho (Apostol Karamitev) and his assistant Lazo (Lubomir Charlandzhiev), who collide with their truck cyclist Katerina (Petrana Lambrinova). They ask the garage boss (Leo Conforti) to keep the incident a secret because Misho already has guilty and can be fired.
Over time, Misho falls in love with Catherine. Exciting situations and misunderstandings between them and his childhood girlfriend Raina (Zheni Bozinova). Both screenings are from 20.00 on the “Snail” stage. The films will be broadcast in the Georgi Bayev Hall at Sea Casino Cultural Center in lousy weather.
