On May 20 at 10 am. on the square in front of the Filip Stanislavov Community Center in the village. Oresh near Svishtov begins the third edition of the largest travelling festival in Bulgaria, “Summer Theater”, which won the performing arts prize with the ArtAction Awards. The tour covers 15 small municipalities this summer, and the organizers promise an even richer program than last year.
The Summer Theater Festival is carried out with the financial support of the National Culture Fund, Svishtov Municipality and sponsors.
The program starts at 10 am sharp, celebrating the kindergarten kids. It continues at 11 am. with the Little Theatre Company repertoire, including a jolly Summer Playhouse with fun outdoor games, an eco vegetable doll workshop, “Farm Dolls”, and a “Colorful Faces” face painting workshop. The holiday ends with all children’s favourite “Soap Fantasy” – the unique soap balloon show at the Male Male Puppet Theater.
This summer, the festival is about the family to highlight the critical role of spending time entirely with children. Times they need to get the full attention of their mothers and fathers to help them build emotional intelligence, gain confidence in their abilities, and acquire new skills faster across different play models.
After the start in Oresh, the tour continues on May 27 in Tryavna, May 30 in Troyan and on 31 in Novi Pazar. Children’s Day will be celebrated appropriately on five consecutive days – in Sevlievo (June 1), Elhovo (June 2), Byala (June 3), Smyadovo (June 4) and Isperich (5). On June 16, “Summer Theater” visits Chirpan and on the 17th, it is in Yambol.
In July comes the turn of Dryanovo (July 15) and Tsarevo (July 17). On August 26, the festival is on the feast of Devnya, and on the 27th, it is in Dimitrovgrad.
