The Regional Administration of Gabrovo organized a two-day training for representatives of local and regional authorities from the Taraklia District on “European Integration and Pre-Joining Funds”.
The event took place in Gabrovo between April 5-6 and trained 13 mayors and six district government representatives, including Lazar Dermenji, vice president of the district.
Kristina Sidorova welcomed the Taraklia delegation, wishing them to exchange valuable experiences with their Bulgarian colleagues and set the beginning of a good partnership.
Within the first day, the mayors of Gabrovo, Dryanovo and Tryavna shared their experience in applying for EU projects. The topic of pre-allocation funds was presented by Dora Yankova, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FLAG Financial Fund.
Tomorrow guests from Taraclia will learn about EU funding opportunities, the role of municipalities in investing EU funds, and project development and management. The lecturers will be Galina Mihneva, Head of the European Center “Europe Direct-Gabrovo” lecturers.
Director of the Road Transport Administration, Veselka Ivanova, Head of the Department of Programs and Projects of Municipalities in NSORB, and Ralitsa Manolova – Expert “Programs and Projects” in TSURI, were also present during the training sessions.
A rich cultural program is also planned for guests with a visit to REMO “Eter”, Sokol Monastery, the Interactive Museum of Industry and the Museum “House of Humor and Satire”.
On the other hand, the Regional Governor opened the 7th edition of “National Career Days” in Gabrovo. For the seventh consecutive year, the forum “National Career Days”, organized by “JobTiger”, is held in Gabrovo.
Kristina Sidorova stressed and thanked the organizers of “JobTiger” and the hosts of the Technical University for their efforts to realize the event.
She said, “This forum is essential for the area because it meets the engines of the Bulgarian economy – companies and the future of our country in the face of students. Nearly 30 employers will present professional realization opportunities for young people”.
The Forum also respected Nevena Mineva, Deputy Mayor of Gabrovo, Prof. Ilia Zhelezarov – Rector of the Technical University, and Svetlozar Petrov, Manager of “JobTiger.
National Career Days is the largest career forum in the country. The event is held for the 22nd time in the country and for the seventh time in Gabrovo. Thanks to the manifestation, more than 53,000 people have found job fulfilment over the years.
