New implementations adopted by Gabrovo’s government to benefit children

Changes to the Rules for Implementation of the Law on Family Benefits for Children have been adopted by the Government of Gabrovo.

The government has approved amendments to the Rules for the Implementation of the Act on Family Benefits for Children. These regulate the order for providing one-time aid of 300 BGN.

For children enrolled in first, second, third, fourth and eighth grades, whether in public, municipal or private school. The aid is provided without an income criterion.

The changes are mainly related to bringing the provisions of the Regulation in line with the amendments and additions made to the Act on Family Benefits for Children, which introduced one-time benefits for students in second, third and fourth grades.

A total of 156,000 children are expected to receive such support. For their payment for 2023, 23.4 million will be needed lv.

The Rules for Implementing the Law on Family Benefits for Children adopted by the Government of Gabrovo are expected to benefit multiple children living in the region by providing financial support in their education during their growing years.

According to the government, providing financial assistance to children for their education will ease their parents to fulfil the other requirement for their physical and mental development. They also seek alternative conceptions to generate the material and cognitive developing platform.

The changes to the Rules for the Implementation of the Act on Family Assistance for Children with or without the right to an inheritance pension from a deceased parent and support for single adoptive parents.

The administrative burden for families is reduced when applying for family benefits declarations. The scope of exchange of information between ASP and MES regarding children and students in the preschool and school education system is also specified according to the basic principles of personal data processing.
