Plamen Dimitrov, the president of the Central Bank, stated that 1 Billion BGN per month is needed for energy assistance. He said, ” I’m hoping that we’ll inform the authorities and employers of cooperative steps the following week. Politicians need to recognize the significance of the high price issue. Officially, inflation is around 18%, but we recorded above 50, and some commodities, like oil, soared over 100%.

According to Dimitrov, In the month of June, the salary of the Industry sector has been increased by BGN 280. As a result, it almost equals inflation. However, earnings have only climbed by around 8% in the public sector and only by about 14% in the service sector. The final sale price is split between farmers and traders; everyone receives 15 and 20%. The entire chain needs to be torched”.

Dimitrov estimates that the additional money will need to be split between 200 and 300 million BGN for compensation. “The budget systems should receive 140 million of them. Energy assistance for the underprivileged must be increased. BGN 620 is insufficient to pay the bills; you may buy roughly three cubic metres of wood with it, whereas last time, you could buy 7-8 cubic metres with this sum. The same is true for “Toplofikatsia” clients, where there has been a 30% growth. 1 billion are needed for energy subsidies each month”.

Dimitrov explains that, If hospitals and schools are not assisted with their heating costs, then, unfortunately, we have to witness their insolvency. He warned that, Without a government, “things will get worse and additional elections in the winter will cause frustration and delegitimize the electoral system.” He also noted that the KNSB’s measures continued in industries, divisions, geographic areas, and businesses where the required wage increase had not been achieved.
