A group of 100 attendees has been set. WFDF secretary general Volker Bernardi said that Sofia was selected to organize the event after the Bulgarian Flying Disc Federation expressed its wish ”to do something for the residents when it initially became a member of WFDF in 2018.

The German officials consider it an opportunity for the countries participating in the coaching clinic. They view it as a vital chance to ”learn and improve.”

”You must educate the educators to bring more of our sport to participating countries,” Bernardi said. Furthermore, Bernardi said that they need to give them the material.

”With this, they will feel appreciated when we do a training camp like this because they will have the chance to get trained coaches and licenced educators in every country in that region.”

The federation has an opportunity to transfer a total of 2000 discs to Sofia for the event. Still, these materials are not likely to stay in the city, and it is planned for coaches to take them home to their clubs and schools afterwards.

Among the countries in line to be represented are Albania, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Poland, Serbia and Turkey. Ukraine’s participation is also anticipated because of the Russian invasion. Bernardi said the federation is ready to pay their participants’ travel fees.

They want to know the reward, and we reward them with professional training and coaching opportunities,” Bernadi added. The German also highlighted that the WFDF supports National Federations with its disc support programme. The last WFDF coaching training was organized in Prague in 2016, where 17 countries participated.
