Sofia, Bulgaria: A total of additional 262 cases of the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, as per the data shared in the unified information portal, as of May 20, 2022. These new cases have been recorded from the additional 5655 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
The positivity rate of the new COVID-19 infections stands at 4.6%. This brings the total count of active COVID cases in Bulgaria to 85,928.
Along with this, there are a total of 3264 patients with the COVID-19 virus who got recovered from the mutant and have been discharged from the hospital facilities.
Meanwhile, there are a total of seven (7) COVID patients who lost their lives to the deadliest mutant during the previous day, bringing the total death rate of the European nation to 37,078.
At the current time, there are a total of 561 patients in the hospital facilities of Bulgaria, including the recently admitted forty-eight (48) patients. The data further reveals that there are a total of fifty (50) COVID-19 patients who are in intensive care units – ICU.
