President of the Republic of Bulgaria – Rumen Radev, extended heartfelt wishes to the Muslim community of the European country on the eve of Eid Mubarak (Kurban Bayramı), today on May 2, 2022, Monday. 

Full statement of the Bulgarian President is read below: 

“I sincerely wish your homes & loved ones to be blessed with health, well-being and prosperity. Together, as a nation – let us continue to stand for peace, compassion & solidarity with all those who are in need. Because this is the way to the – salvation not only of – today’s generations but also of humanity”. 

Meaning of Eid Mubarak: 

The Arabic word “Mubarak” translates as – “blessed”, while the meaning of “Eid” stands for – feast, festival or celebration, so – “Eid Mubarak” can literally mean either – “blessed celebration” or “blessed feast”. However, it is widely deciphered as simply wishing somebody a “Happy Eid”.
