Bulgaria: Plovdiv district authorities eases working hours of restaurants amid COVID cases decline

Sofia, Bulgaria: The district operational headquarters eases the working hours of the restaurants in Bulgaria’s Plovdiv district on Friday, February 18, 2022. The working hours for the restaurants remained from 5 am to 10 pm, which now has been increased amid the declining rate of COVID-19 infections. 

Although, the 50% seating capacity guideline in the restaurants remains in effect. Only those individuals will be permitted to have a dinning in the restaurants who are carrying their green certificates.

Below are the other COVID-19 containment measures: 

  •  Children who are 18 years of age or below must be accompanied by a guardian, an older family member or an adult. 
  • From Monday, February 21, the face-to-face classes for all the classes in the Plovdiv district will commence under stringent COVID-19 health protocols. 

Apart from this, the 10 pm closing deadline for the casinos and restaurants in the Haskovo district has also been terminated by the authorities from Friday, February 18, 2022. The municipalities authorities have also announced the resumption of planned admissions and planned operations in hospitals in Haskovo. 

The evening curfew for children in Haskovo has also been lifted by the district government authorities. This curfew has been in effect since the last week of January 2022. 

In the Haskovo district, the offline classes for the children from Monday, February 21, for the children from first grade to 12 are commencing. 

Besides this, for the Pernik district, the face-to-face classes are returning for the students of all grades from Monday onwards, February 21, 2022. The admissions in spite of COVID-19 patients are now to be resumed in the district from next week onwards.  

A total of 4626 new cases of the COVID-19 virus were reported in the European country on Friday, February 18, along with 105 additional deaths. The death rate of the day is more than that compared to the previous day.
