Bulgaria: Exports in January-November 2021, up by 23.3% y/y

According to NSI, in January – November, the total value of the exported goods from Bulgaria was 61.992 million leva, which is 23.3 percent more than January – November 2020.

On January 13, Thursday, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) shared the goods exports statics, citing the preliminary data. According to NSI, in January – November, the total value of the exported goods from Bulgaria was 61.992 million leva, which is 23.3 percent more than January – November 2020.

According to the figures published by NSI, Bulgaria exported goods worth 50 million leva in January – November 2020, 7.8 percent less than January – November 2019.

On the same breadth, in November the total number of exported goods from Bulgaria was worth 6,196.1 million leva, 26.3 percent more than the exports in November 2020.

January-November 2021 Imports:

The total value of the imported goods into Bulgaria in January – November 2021 was also reportedly higher than January – November 2020. The total value in 2021 was 69,356.5 million leva, 26.3 percent more than in 2020.

However, in November 2021, the total value of imports was 7,551.9 million leva, 32 percent more than November 2020.

January-November 2021 Foreign Trade Balance:

According to NSI, Bulgaria’s total value of foreign trade balance, between exports FOB and import CIF, was negative, amounting to 7,364.1 million leva. The total value of the foreign trade balance in November 2021 was also negative, adding the amount to 1,355.8 million leva.

Although, the total value of export in Bulgaria in January-October 2021 was 23 percent higher than January-October 2020. In January-October 2021, the total value was amounted to 55,803.6 million leva, 23 percent more than in January-October 2020, as per the statics by NSI. In October 2021, the total value of Bulgarian exports was 6,073.2 million leva, 22 percent higher than in October 2020.

The total value of the imports was 25.6 percent more than in January-October 2021 than January-October 2020, whereas the total value of the foreign trade balance was negative, adding up to 5,998.4 million leva.
