Bulgarian racing star Nikola Tsolov concluded his Formula 3 season in style, claiming the vice-champion title after finishing second in the feature race at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, the final round of the championship.

The 17-year-old delivered another mature performance, securing Campos Racing a historic one-two finish as his teammate, Thailand’s Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, took the win. It was Inthraphuvasak’s third victory of the year and his first in a main race in 2025, marking a fitting finale to the team’s campaign.

Starting from fifth on the grid, Tsolov showed consistency and tactical awareness. Despite a race riddled with incidents and safety car interruptions, he climbed through the field and even seized the lead by lap 13. Shortly afterward, Inthraphuvasak overtook him, but Tsolov opted against unnecessary risks, choosing instead to protect Campos’ double podium finish.

Inthraphuvasak sealed the win with a time of 44:11.907 minutes, with Tsolov crossing the line just 0.732 seconds behind. Mexican driver Noel León of Prema Racing secured third place, finishing 2.152 seconds adrift of the leader.

This podium was Tsolov’s sixth of the season, adding to his two victories earlier in the year. His consistency across the campaign underscored his reputation as one of Formula 3’s most promising talents and a potential future star of higher racing categories.

Meanwhile, Brazil’s Rafael Câmara was crowned the 2025 Formula 3 champion after finishing fifth in Monza, concluding the season with 166 points. Tsolov ended second overall with 124 points, while Spanish driver and Campos teammate Mari Boya took third on 116 points after finishing ninth in the finale.

Campos Racing also celebrated a major achievement in the constructors’ standings. The Spanish outfit clinched the championship with 314 points, edging out Trident, who finished second with 303. The one-two finish at Monza was the perfect ending to a dominant year for the team.

Reflecting on the season, Tsolov highlighted the importance of teamwork and discipline. His ability to balance aggression with calculated decision-making was evident in Monza, where his choice to defend rather than chase ultimately secured Campos’ triumph.

With Formula 3 now behind him, Tsolov is preparing for the next step in his career: a move into Formula 2. The Bulgarian will look to carry his momentum forward as he tests his skills against stronger competition and moves closer to realizing his Formula 1 dream.
