Plovdiv, Bulgaria: Botev (Plovdiv) launches “From the College Classroom” campaign. The Yellow-Black Club will invite schools in Plovdiv and the region to attend matches at the Hristo Botev Stadium.

Botev and the town of Plovdiv have been invariably linked throughout all 111 years since the existence of the oldest football club. The love, handed down from generation to generation, has kept young and old flocking to the East 10 for decades.

The campaign, aimed at students and their teachers in the city of seven hills, seeks to boost adolescents’ interest in their favourite game and the favorite team of Plovdiv citizens.

In the upcoming match against Lokomotiv (Sofia), from Botev (Plovdiv) turned to an invitation to three schools – SU St. Paisiy Hilendarski, Primary School Aleko Konstantinov and Primary School Vasil Levski.

Interest in “From the Classroom to College” is enormous – more than 1,000 students and parents, as well as their teachers, have expressed their desire to attend the match at the Hristo Botev Stadium.

On Tuesday, the children and their teachers received the tickets for the meeting with the capital’s “railwaymen”. Personally, Hidayet Hankic and Atanas Chernev visited the three schools, bringing “yellow-black” joy to the little Plovdiv citizens.

The two football players were met with great euphoria by the little students and their teachers. Hundreds of autographs and photos, many smiles and wishes for victories and successes accompanied the football players’ meetings with the kids.

The campaign will also continue in the upcoming home meetings of Botev (Plovdiv). The doors of the Hristo Botev Stadium are open to everyone, and returning to the “yellow-black” home is a dream come true for all Botev fans and Plovdiv residents.
