Bulgaria’s resigned Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had a personal meeting in Baku. Speculations are made that this meeting was intended to discuss the supply of Azeri Gas. The Vessel Azeri Gas is 2002 built Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) tank and is currently sailing under the flag of Malta. It is evident from the long-anticipated meeting that they have discussed the possibilities of exchange.
All over Europe, the gas crisis has caused a lot of trouble, and he intended to visit Azerbaijan soon to discuss the issue of gas shortage and seek the gas supply. The topic will be discussed thoroughly with Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, said the Bulgarian PM.
Taking to his Facebook, Petkov uploaded a picture shaking hands with the Azeri Prime Minister and captioning the post detailing all the forthcoming deals and the prosperity of friendly relations with Azerbaijan’s prime minister. In his Facebook post, he captions, “during our friendly dinner with Aliyev, we discussed the possibility of additional Azerbaijani gas supplies to Bulgaria and Azerbaijan’s political readiness to support Bulgaria.”
The government press specifies that during his visit to Balkan, PM had a meeting with representatives of the business. This two-day visit is all intended to strengthen the relations of both the countries and to have an exchange of Gas.
On his official Twitter account, Kiril Petkov captions the same picture, captioning it as a nice dinner and informing the world about the exchange of Gas and the political readiness of Azerbaijan to support Bulgaria.
Both the Prime Ministers had a political dinner yesterday and a bilateral meeting. A guard of owners was also lined up for the Bulgarian Prime Minister at the airport decorated with festoons and flags of both countries representing the unity and healthy relations with each – other. The prime minister was seen off by Deputy foreign minister and Prime Minister Fariz Rzayev and Shahin Mustafayev, respectively.
